Scenes from the opening

The building was opened on Saturday October 23rd 2004 by Rev Everard Perrens, a former headmaster, and named after his late wife Joan. The ceremony was conducted by the Rt Rev Benezeri Kisembo, an old boy of the school. The Guest of Honour was the Hon Edward Rugumayo, then Minister for Tourism, Trade and Industry and also an old boy.

Members of the Perrens family had come from as far as Australia.

Of special mention in the project are engineer and old boy Dr Tichodri Togboa of Makerere University Kampala for help and advice, and civil engineer Adolf Kahuma, our appointed project manager, who oversaw the construction.
